"The student and I began by discussing his experience thus far with the MCAT. He told me that he has had the most trouble with Verbal and attacking the Biological and Physical Sciences with a good strategy. We then began with some Physics to see how he did with a passage. We started with a kinematics passage that he was able to do quite well. I identified that I do not believe his problem is content comprehension or the ability to understand passages. We then reviewed friction and free energy diagrams. We looked at a pulley system to illustrate some key principles. We then moved on to another physics passage about Newtonian mechanics which he was also able to do very well. He has a solid comprehension of content. We then moved on to General Chemistry and did a passage that, again, he was able to do quite well. We then reviewed periodic trends. Finally, we did a practice Verbal Passage using the mapping strategy, identifying the main idea, and noticing keywords."
"We went over MCAT chemistry and organic chemistry. First, we went over acids and bases, and then electrochemistry. Next, we went over organic chemistry and alcohols."
"We went over Thermodynamics and Organic Chemistry. We talked about strategies for verbal as well. No scores/grades."
