"We practiced a bit more with the preterite, and went over direct object pronouns and the gerund forms of verbs. The student is going to write a short story for next week to practice."
"Geography of Latin America in preparation for his upcoming quiz. We also went over his Geometry homework."
"Today we reviewed the topics covered in Spanish 1, primarily conjugation of the verbs "ser" and "estar". We also worked on identifying what words require the use of accents."
"During this first session, we covered introductions, greetings, subject pronouns, numbers, and time. I also introduced the subject and noun agreement and some basic adjectives. The student is very eager and is a student that is willing to try. I have agreed to email him some practice sheets so that he can review his subject pronouns."
"First, we re-did his homework together since he did not understand it so well. Then, we studied interrogation words and the student has homework which consists of writing sentences with each of them. Then, we studied how to tell the weather, and I left him homework consisting of describing the weather of 4 cities. He could benefit from finding a few minutes every day to practice what we learn to better retain the information."
"He and his younger sister are both at a very elementary level of Spanish, but I think that the session was very helpful. We went over some basic vocabulary, such as the colors, days of the week, and animals. I also taught them how to say things like "How old are you?" and "What is your name?" We also went over some important sounds, such as the 'j' being pronounced like an 'h' and the 'll' being pronounced like a 'y.' They now have a couple of pages of notes that they can practice."
