Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We had a good session today. We worked on verb conjugations in the preterite tense and also reviewed reflexive verbs. I was happy to hear she got an 88% on her last test. This increase represented a two to three letter grade increase compared to what she had been receiving on tests earlier in the year, and if she keeps working as hard as she has been working I have no doubt that she will continue to improve."
"First student: We reviewed regular and irregular tu command forms for Thursday quiz and worked on strengthening general knowledge of vocabulary, especially common verbs. Second student: We reviewed vocabulary from this week, and this last month. She really has this down. Both: We reviewed irregular preterite conjugations. Both students are doing really well with these. Homework - First student: Learn the meanings of the first 20 verbs on link that I sent him. Write a sentence with each verb. Memorize the positive form of tu commands for irregular verbs (he has a list of them). Make sure he knows how to form positive tu commands for regular verbs. Second student: Memorize vocabulary from desafio 3. Write 1 sentence with each vocab. word. Memorize irregular preterite conjugations for the following verbs: estar, tener, hacer, decir, andar, estar, poner, poder, querer."
"The student has a Spanish presentation tomorrow where her and a partner have to alternate asking each other set questions on a video that they watched in class, and provide pre-prepared answers to the questions. I helped her correct the grammar in her responses and we reviewed pronunciation for the words that she was having trouble with."
