Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, they learned the days of the week and the months of the year. We had a dictation using the vocabulary already learned. We practiced conversation. Keep practicing everyday!"
"Concepts: placement test and review. The students have a beginner level of Spanish. We worked on basic conversation and repetition."
"Today, we reviewed the old vocabulary and present tense verb conjugations. The student is doing better on both, but he should continue to practice. We also learned past tense verb conjugations for -ar verbs. He seemed to do pretty well for how new the material is. We will continue to practice and will learn -er/-ir verbs next."
"The student and I practiced with verbs of activity to do during the free time. We expressed like and dislike. We made dialogue using most of the subjects studied until now: description of a friend saying about her life, family, routine, and preferences. I did an introduction of the comparatives and superlatives."
"The student and I focused on the use of indirect objects as well as the use of conocer vs. saber. We went back over the handouts her professor did with the class, and then I gave her more practice exercises with these same concepts. She understood them much better by the end of our session! She needs to review these concepts on her own time to make sure she learns them well."
"The student worked on that night's homework assignment on the use of the subjunctive. We also practiced the subjunctive by forming sentences using current vocabulary and phrases that she would be quizzed on in her next Spanish class."
