Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered the income-offer curve, the Engel curve, and the demand curve from the perspective of a consumer. We went over how to get the Engel curve from an income offer curve. We also did one problem about Weak Axioms of Revealed Preference. There will be one more session before the exam on Monday."
"Today we covered the loanable funds market, the GDP deflator, how banks increase the overall money supply in the economy through loans, and the minimum wage debate. We reviewed a news story about the fast food workers' strike to look at the different sides of the issue. The student has been doing well on the homework assignments and seems confident about the final exam. My assessment echoes that confidence."
"We addressed how the student approaches the material, such as what are his study habits. We set an assignment for our session tomorrow. This was our first session and there was a certain amount of "getting to know you" involved. The challenge the student has is getting his knowledge of the subject (quite good) effectively communicated in the written word (exams)."
