How can a tutor assist you in conquering Physical Chemistry?

Physical chemistry is the field of study on how matter reacts on a molecular and atomic level. Physical chemists may formulate new hypotheses, such as how complex molecular structures are formed. They use these hypotheses to analyze and predict the behavior of materials and develop new applications. Physical chemists frequently work alongside materials scientists to search for and produce prospective uses for these new materials.

As a student of physical chemistry, you may have experienced issues with comprehending how to apply these concepts in your homework. If you are running into problems with these concepts, then lessons with a personal tutor could be the solution. Varsity Tutors can connect you with a physical chemistry tutor in Bellevue, NE, who could break down the fundamental concepts of physical chemistry to make certain that you have the skills you need to pass your class.

Session Summaries by Physical Chemistry Tutors

Bellevue, WA Physical Chemistry tutoring
Today we started working on the first unit for the new quarter. The student has a quiz on sections 11.1-11.4 on Monday so we spent the session going over the topics covered in those sections. We talked about Mendelian genetics, Punnett squares, and meiosis. We used the reading guides for those sections to make sure that she knew all of the relevant information and then we spent a large amount of time going over meiosis and drawing diagrams of the process. We also talked about the difference between a haploid and a diploid cell. She has a very good understanding of how meiosis leads to the formation of 4 haploid daughter cells and also how meiosis differs from mitosis. The student was very well prepared for our session and I can tell that she has been working very hard in class and on her own.

The student is currently taking a 9th grade AP Biology course. We met for 2.5 hours on Sunday to review for a test she was having over photosynthesis. We reviewed worksheets that her teacher had given to the class. Since she did not understand most of the worksheets we talked through the process of photosynthesis: made a study guide of what was happening and did some practice problems. It was evident that she learned a great deal during our discussion and I am confident that she has a grasp of the concepts. After this test, we can re-evaluate and determine how I may need to alter our tutor sessions to best fit the knowledge tested during class.
