Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I went over Arrhenius' equation and reaction rates. We discussed a few new rules to follow and also detailed all of the relationship graphs showing energy and reactions. We then went over a practice AP problem."
"The student and I reviewed for her Chemistry test that is on Friday. We covered the basic topics of stoichiometry, percent yield and the limiting reagent. Her only trouble areas were regarding percent yield by determining the limiting and excess reagents. I believe she will do well on her test. We are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday and not on Monday."
"We did a comprehensive review of all the math that would be on the exam. I wrote down supplementary notes as well on anything that was either still confusing or was not effectively explained in her review book. We also covered the sentence completion section - her book has a good setup for the answers and explanations. I, however, gave additional hints as to how/when to know if a sentence is incorrect."
"The student's major concern in this session was the next day's Calculus test over the methods and applications of differentiation, so we spent the evening working through his study guide. The student is still outstanding at calculating the derivatives, and his expression simplification is drastically improving as well, with a few mistakes here and there still."
"Worked with the student on two of her papers. I have seen progress in how she approaches the papers, and her ability to catch grammar and usage mistakes. She still needs work expanding on some of her points, but we are working on that."
"We went over the concepts of arrays and discussed how to input into arrays, and how to process information in arrays. I also showed how inputting in arrays relates to outputting from arrays. I explained the concepts of a container of variables."
