Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We did a semester review focusing on various equations. Her comprehensive final exam tomorrow, so we did a full recap."
"Today we went over equilibrium and Le Chatelier's principle. The student has a test tomorrow and she needs to commit to memory the solubility of various compounds given to her in her notes."
"The student and I finished reviewing for her chemistry final and covered acids and bases, organic chemistry, electrochemistry, equilibrium, and nuclear chemistry."
"This session, we went over rotational motion and its various applications. The student was struggling with acceleration and transferring values from tangential acceleration/velocity/displacement to their angular values. To rectify this, we worked through practice problems that required the use of this skill, giving him practice and experience in the different ways these concepts can be applied. As he became more confident, we moved to more complex problems that combined these concepts with other concepts he had covered in the past so as to build upon his knowledge and give him a taste of the material found on the AP test."
"This was a great session today. You did your torque homework. I think you are starting to get the steps down now really well. Basically, all torque problems will go: 1) draw and label, 2) identify the torques, 3) find moment arms and solve for known torques, 4) set sum of torques equal to 0, and 5) solve for unknown muscle force based on the muscle torque you just found. Great work today."
"This was an online session for High School Physics. The student had a question involving finding the coefficient of kinetic friction. I helped her find and use the formula and she was able to find the answer to her question."
