"We covered the following concepts: multiple cash flows NPV, effective annual rate and annual percentage rate, present value and future value of annuity and growing annuity, bonds, interest rate risks, real versus nominal rate of return. The student was enthusiastic and willing to work the problems himself. I am glad to see him more comfortable with using the calculator and with the concepts. He is making great progress with class concepts."
"The student worked on his finance exam. The topics that were covered included calls, puts, covered calls, market securities, treasury bonds, market risk premiums, risk free rates, Sharpe index, Treynor index, beta, and arbitrage."
"The student needed help with his financial management course material. Specifically, while he has no problem reading through the material on its own, he has a difficult time applying the financial concepts to the numerical examples in his quizzes. Today's session was very number-heavy, focusing on expected return, standard deviation, portfolio assessment, and the capital asset pricing model. We spent quite a bit of time going through each formula, its components, and what it really means in terms of financial theory. We also made a plan going forward in terms of scheduling in order to be more efficient."
