She did pretty well, and she knows what she needs to work on.

We practiced verbs conjugated in present, imparfait and passe compose. We went over the different groups of verbs with different endings and exception verbs. We practiced a conversation exercise that was going to be tested. It was an interview format where the student had to answer questions from the teacher. The student had a good attitude, and is getting better and better in French. It's simply a lot of practice, and errors will occur, but with repetition, he will get to where he needs to be.

We ran through conjugations of these in all of the four tenses he is responsible for: present, imparfait, future, and conditional. We also talked about why each of these verbs is "special" and looked for patterns in their irregular behavior to make memorizing their many forms easier.

The student is now learning indirect objects. We reviewed them, but I also made sure to refer back to direct objects, since at some point they will come together. I prepared a chart for him of petites mots, all of the little pronouns to remind him of the similarities and differences. At first he had a hard time understanding he vs. him, and I helped him understand they are completely different words requiring a different pronoun.
