Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I helped the student as she worked through her assignment on z-score and normal distributions, and we discussed the rest of her course. We will be meeting one more time to review for her final exam."
"Today we went over measures of center and spread. We also covered some basic introductory vocab and concepts."
"Discussed the use of z-scores to ascertain percentiles and inverse norms. Also read ahead through bivariate regression and correlation coefficient. She is ahead in homework and performing well on the tests and quizzes."
"We looked over lecture slides for the material for the final, working through some examples of calculating confidence intervals and hypothesis tests on the population mean and proportion. The student seemed to be comfortable with the material."
"I began by going through her tests from the semester and reviewing questions marked incorrect. We discussed why the answers were incorrect and then we went on to some notes she had from her class as well as some links I supplied her discussing topics she described to me. We ended by discussing how to relieve the stress of this upcoming week and study tactics she could employ for her upcoming exam."
"The student and I covered some questions he had regarding his midterm and final exams. These questions covered the following topics: confidence intervals, best measure of central tendency in a skewed data set, bivariate correlations, chi-square, hypothesis testing, generating null and research hypotheses, and independent samples t-test. We made great progress in his understanding these concepts, and he should feel confident for his resubmitting his midterm as well as submitting his final exam. We scheduled and hour session for tonight to review his final data analysis project, and I suggest he prepare all the materials he wants to go over so we can get as much done as possible in that hour."
