Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began reviewing for her final exam in June by reviewing some of her earlier quizzes. Topics include: molarity, molar mass, electronegativity, and covalent bonds."
"The student was working on gas laws homework. She had to perform Charles, Boyles, and Gay-Lussac's calculations. She had to decide the appropriate formula to use and which part was the unknown that she needed to calculate. She did a good job with these calculations with some practice."
"Worked on adding and subtracting math problems with and without regrouping. The student struggles with regrouping. We also worked on basic multiplication. She is able to multiply 1, 5, 10, 11. We tried to work on some division but she isn't confident enough to do it. Overall, awesome session!"
"The student performed well on a timed practice English mini-test. He had no struggles to complete within the time limit and his methodical approach to the test served him well on most questions. The questions he missed showed no discernible pattern, so I advised him to simply continue taking each question in isolation and eliminate clear wrong answers. We moved on to Reading, which he shows clear aptitude in. He had no difficulty identifying specific details, cause/effect and sequence, or making inferred generalizations. He is also a very quick reader and employs a methodical strategy similar to that used for the English section. I'm impressed with his preparation, motivation, and objective-based approach to the timed multiple choice format. Great session."
"The student and I worked through the same set of problems as the last session. This session he was much more focused and was catching on. He has a quiz and wants to do well on it. He is very determined."
