Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over the student's homework on antiderivatives. After going over the process at the beginning, she was able to do most of the homework on her own, with just a few questions on little details. This session was a good building base for her to continue in the class."
"The student recently received one of her exams back, so we reviewed it and went over her errors. This meant we reviewed exponential and logarithmic functions, learning how to reduce and rewrite them. We then went over several problems involving the chain rule. The last half hour we spent reviewing her homework, which included the unit circle and trig functions."
"Today the student and I spent the session going over the complex and most challenging problems in his integration of rational functions unit. We managed to clear up much of the confusion, and in the end I feel he walked away confident in his understanding of the material. We will continue to work through the different topics in preparation for his exam next week."
"We reviewed chapter 5 for upcoming test. We then went over trig identities, the unit circle, and SohCahToa. The student seems to understand and is able to follow the problems."
"We covered some concepts in algebra and geometry that appear frequently in calculus. The student had a positive attitude towards the material."
"The student's test is this Thursday, so we spent the session reviewing the unit. He said he felt very confident about the material on the test. I let him know that he just needs to take his time and write through the steps."
