"Today we worked on the student's homework which consisted of reading and discussing an assigned story."
"The student and I spent a lot of time reviewing material, especially verbs, to make sure that she retaining the things we've learned so far. She did a great job remembering preterite versus imperfect tense. I could tell she is really starting to memorize different verb meanings."
"Today, we learned some new verbs. We played Pictionary and charades and other games to help us learn. The student picked up the new vocabulary quickly and he seemed to have a wonderful time at the same time. Our session went really well!"
"We worked on a card game. This card game is color coded that shows what a "pronoun, verb, preposition, and nouns" are. So, the student might not know the meaning of all the words, however, he is led by the color code structure. After completing a sentences, he gets points, and we write out the meaning, so we when we go back to it we already know the words. Lastly, we watched a video on "food, colors, and a few expressions". It is a repetitive children's video, so we need to go back to it and see how much we remember from them. I like the fact that it is repetitive because we have a chance to understand the grammatical structures and expressions."
"During our session we reviewed the preterit vs the imperfect, went through a worksheet on the conditional tense, and reviewed the future tense as well. I gave the student a list of the irregulars for the conditional and future, which are the same 12 verbs, and also a list of the past participle irregulars for future reference when working with the perfect tenses and using these participles as adjectives. We finished by translating a Spanish song and practiced listening with some audio clips online."
