"We answered their homework about kinetics. The boys had trouble at first in understanding with the calculations but with the help of their notes they were able to comprehend and answered almost all of the questions."
"Covered gas laws and related problems. She struggled most with combining the concepts of gas laws and stoichiometry. After working through problems, she was more confident. Did a great job understanding the relationships between given variables (temp, pressure, etc.)."
"We worked on chemistry homework first--he initially had done the first few problems, but had questions about the rest. I only needed to walk him through one problem, and he was able to do the remaining eight or so with minimal input from me. We did a few review problems in stoichiometry -- essentially the material he missed from school. He seemed to follow this fine, and did a couple of problems on his own correctly. We will circle back on Wednesday to gauge retention, but I'm optimistic! He has a solid mathematical and physical intuition, which makes my job so much easier! He seemed to have no problems with his current material -- statistics and Gaussian distributions in math, free energy diagrams in chemistry -- but again, I'll check back in on Wednesday."
