Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over vocabulary relating to the medical field. The student is currently practicing present and past conjugation of verbs."
"Today, we reviewed for his final exam. We discussed vocabulary, essay writing, reflexive verbs, cultural aspects, and subjunctive usage."
"The student and I are preparing for the student's final exam and have reviewed lessons 6A, 6B and 7A vocabulary. We have worked on preterite, present progressive, direct object pronouns, numbers and stem changing verbs."
"We reviewed previous material, discussed ways to increase retention, and changed the structure of our lessons. We practiced ser and professions, and adjectives. I taught estar, and we began to discuss location of objects based on vocab for around the house and office. The student seemed to feel much more confident this time. We agreed to speak more to each other, to help him consolidate the learning, and he will do practice work between weekly sessions."
"We reviewed previously covered material - subject pronouns, regular verb conjugations in the present tense, and conjugations of ser, it, and tener. We also reviewed expressions with tener. We started to practice introductory conversations, with responding and asking questions. New material that we covered was on telling and asking time, including indicating at what time something happens, and a list of prepositions that will lead to changing the pronouns. The student is doing well, but she needs to start memorizing verbal conjugations, especially the irregular ones."
"We reviewed previously covered material. Then, we practiced numbers. We went over additional numbers to 199. We practiced using playing cards individually and in a game format. Then, the students took notes on a practice sheet on interrogative words. We personalized the information by forming questions they could immediately use on the job. They worked hard and were very enthusiastic."
