Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student likes his "building" toy and physical games, so every time during these we play, I tried to speak Chinese to him as much as possible and focus on repeating certain words so he can remember and repeat back. While reviewing the previous vocab, today he also learned: "close the door", "sleep" and "good night." For student two, she's very good at learning, and we did more drawings on the board and the wall, we played a game, we reviewed writings of a few characters, we counted numbers and the new vocab for today was: shining and "Sleeping Beauty.""
"Learned a new lesson, and checked her written homework, which she did really well. Learned new characters and left her new homework."
"For the first part of the session, I advised the student on his history homework on Hinduism. For the rest of the time we reviewed more for his Chinese final the following day."
"We reviewed phrases and words that the student was not comfortable with in the previous sessions and conversed in Spanish. The student is improving at her ability to have full Spanish conversations. We also talked about a music video that was assigned to her that she really liked and was able to understand the meaning of the song. We spoke about the Spanish video series and reviewed new vocabulary words."
"We reviewed prepositions, parts of the house, and colors. We did a scavenger hunt to combine all the vocab into a fun activity. He is getting better at understanding when I speak in Spanish, but still has a hard time forming full sentences. We will continue to work on this next session."
"We reviewed present progressive! Ser vs. estar, weather, seasons, months, prepositions (to the left, to the right, on top of, under...). The student continues to impress me with his drive for perfection!"
