How can a Anatomy tutor help you?

If you are an aspiring doctor or nurse, you might be required to have an understanding of anatomy. For many students interested in healthcare, this field can feel overwhelming. Because anatomy is such an important field to know as a healthcare professional, it is imperative that you do your best to perform highly in the class. Learning about this subject can be difficult for many, especially if your instructor is too busy to provide you with individual academic attention. We spent the majority of the review session going over cranial nerves, as this is a subject that will definitely be tested on her practical tomorrow. We went over each cranial nerve name, number, and function. We also went over simple strategies for memorization (cranial nerves II through IV all deal with the eye, the four final cranial nerves all involve swallowing, hypoglossal and glossopharyngeal have the same motor function, etc.). After that, I briefly went over things to know for her lab practical.

The student took 4 quizzes today in class to get caught up and said she feels good about all of them. She has a Latin terminology quiz next Tuesday and a muscle system chapter test next Thursday. We started with a muscle to sarcomere quiz and she did fairly well. We then studied Latin terminology relating to the muscular system, followed by a review of major skeletal muscles, and other terms from the skeletal and muscular units. She had a few gaps in her notes from the last few days and a few incorrect answers on some older quizzes. We corrected these and then drilled on terminology and major concepts from the unit. Our next session is scheduled for Sunday.

Her class is advanced and moves quite quickly so we decided the best way would be for her to review her subject matter independently and then come together to discuss. For this session we were not able to do that so we started reviewing her first slide deck.
