Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session the student and I started by reviewing the grouping games I left her with last week. She did pretty well with these, we just went over a few questions that she had. We worked through a couple more games of this type together, working on nailing down conditionals that yield double arrows. The student was doing well with these and with a little coaching she got all of the answers. We quickly moved on to grouping/linear and sequencing games, both of which use skills that the student already has, just in a slightly different way. We worked through a few games of each type and started one more that the student will finish on her own. I asked that she do a practice test between now and our next session so she'll see how she's doing and we can focus on any remaining trouble spots that she has before the test."
"First session with student. We discussed his goals and history with the LSAT. The student is very pleasant to work with and motivated to do well. We spent the session discussing a sequencing game, and he will work on linear and sequencing games for homework before our next meeting."
"Reviewed diagnostic admissions test from test prep book - corrected wrong answers and explained them, did logic games the student didn't know how to do. Assigned the logic problems he skipped that we didn't do tonight as homework for Tuesday; will also scan and email another practice test to him to work on so we can go over his answers on Tuesday."
"The student and I went over strategies for diagrams of logic games and strategies for logical reasoning questions. I worked with him through 12 logical reasoning questions under a timed format."
"We reviewed the work done by the student, including logic games and logical reasoning questions. Set up student for next two tests to work on."
"The student and I reviewed some practice he has been doing including a really tough sequencing game and logical reasoning."
