Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We did a review of the LR and LG on past exam, especially LR question types. The student particularly struggles with LR. Next session will be either Thursday or Monday."
"Went over student's most recent work. Worked on logic games questions and how to set them up. Focused on grouping games."
"We revisited each section and reviewed the techniques I had introduced in our last session. The student is picking up on these quickly but is having some difficulty finding time for practice."
"The student and I began with some new material for our session. We first focused on a logical reasoning section. We went over the questions she missed in detail, and I explained how to use the strategies we discussed to arrive at the correct answer. I encouraged her to complete as many practice questions as she can. At the end of the session, we worked through two reading comprehension passages. Her pacing is currently at a level where she will complete three passages, which is fine as long as her accuracy is high. She performed well on both passages, and we reviewed the few questions that she missed."
"The student and I reviewed chapters 2 and 3, focusing primarily on chapter 3. We discussed general logic games characteristics and strategy, as well as strategy, diagramming techniques, and template construction for basic linear games. We reviewed a number of games together, and worked through diagrams and templates for each of them, as well as working through some of the questions. Homework is to work through a number of basic linear games, to review chapter 4, and to begin working through advanced linear games. She grasps the concepts extremely well."
"The student and I reviewed diagramming questions and then moved onto basic one-to-one correspondence logic games. As he gets better, he finds them to be more enjoyable, which is very helpful from a studying perspective. I will continue to teach him more game techniques in future sessions."
