"The student and I continued going through the math practice part. She took a practice test and scored a 32 out of 40."
"The student and I covered number properties and text completion questions. We worked through one drill set for each topic and also reviewed general test strategy including adaptive test style, trying answers given, and creating a graduate school entrance exam vocab excel sheet to be used a flashcard tool. The solutions to six drill sets will be emailed shortly and six new drill sets are to be emailed by the end of the week, and we will cover them on Tuesday. The student's short-term goals are to review math by hand and mental math, build word associations and excel sheet list, and complete seven verbal and seven quantitative reasoning drills (~15 Q each) per week."
"The student and I reviewed a practice test she did on her own, and discussed the questions she had. After that, we worked on additional practice math problems."
"Today we went over a number of different types of word problems, to strengthen the student's ability to turn the language of the question into an equations. Next week we will go over the reading and vocabulary section, before refocusing on math."
"We began by discussing the overall format of the GRE. The student feels that writing is her strong suit, so that will be de-emphasized going forward. We began content review with geometry, including some instruction on coordinate geometry and right triangles. We then worked on sentence completion, where she performed strongly."
"We began the lesson with a full GRE verbal section, and moved into a review of fractions, percents, and decimals. I've allocated two problem sets for homework regarding percents and decimals, as well as ratios and proportions."
