Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In our introductory class, the student and I started working with her business vocabulary. We focused on studying vocabulary for her Friday test that she has coming up."
"In these sessions we have reviewed the student's topics for his quiz next week. We have worked on the past tense, the direct object and vocabulary."
"We went over his the corrections for his art paper. We prepared for his test on adjective subjunctives by doing his online review tests, situations, dictation, and reviewing the rules for the use of this type of subjunctive. Student is very good on this topic. I expect positive results on this test!"
"The student and I worked on using her chapter vocabulary and the present subjunctive in context. Some vocabulary activities included listening to a description and naming the word, completing a paragraph with the correct missing words, answering questions using synonyms, and basic English to Spanish translations. For the subjunctive, she completed a fill-in-the-blank conversation where she had to pick the correct verb and then conjugate it for the appropriate subject. I also had her practice writing some present subjunctive verbs with irregularities. She will continue to study the vocabulary and irregular subjunctive verb conjugations. I also left two short reading practices for her to complete, if desired."
"The student has a test tomorrow, so we reviewed several concepts that will be on his test, such as saber vs conocer, future tense, direct object pronouns, and technology vocabulary. He is improving, and has a positive attitude towards his studies."
"The student is doing good. We did some listening, and then we concentrated in some reading and translation for his journal assignments that were missing. He still needs to finish three, but I'm confident he will have them done this week. He also needs to practice his vocabulary, that is his tool for understanding the stories they are working at school. He is doing well with conjugations of verbs."
