Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on physics for this session. The student has started working on sound and completing problems that involve the relationship among velocity, frequency, and wavelength. Some of the problems required solving for the velocity of sound at a certain temperature, or solving for the frequency of a sound wave given the wavelength. She did really well with these problems. We moved onto open and closed pipe harmonics. We found the wavelength of various harmonics given an open or closed pipe with a certain length."
"Today, we covered concepts about capacitors in relation to circuits. We worked through her remaining homework problems and I encouraged her to read more about circuits and capacitors. We will be meeting again this week to work on her next problem set."
"We reviewed for her final exam (tomorrow). We spent the session looking at old quiz and test problems. She's doing really well with remembering which equations to use for each concept, but she needed just a little help setting up the equations. After going over each example, she was able to answer related conceptual questions. She is prepared for the exam."
