Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, arithmetic and geometric series, as well as sigma notation were reviewed for the upcoming final exam."
"The student had a review assignment to replace a test that got cancelled for AP testing purposes. We powered through most of the problems. It was one sequences and series. We found common ratios and differences through examination, algebra and logic. Applying the formulas has been second nature for the student so that is good. The second portion of the review focused on set notation. She grasp those constructs very intuitively."
"We performed one last review for the student's final. Subjects covered included trig identities, sequences/series, and statistics. We focused mostly on trig since he needed to memorize the identities and see them being put to use. We went over several examples to make sure he felt comfortable and confident with the identities. He already had a basic understanding of sequences and series and just needed a reminder of the formulas involved. With statistics, he needed to learn the context of the variables involved. After going through a couple of practice problems, he felt ready to go for the final."
"During this session, we reviewed for the student's upcoming final. We went over all of her past exams and covered the concepts her teacher said would be on the exam. The concept she was having a little bit of trouble on was polar and rectangular coordinates. So we reviewed this section and I had her do several examples. By the end of the session, she seemed well prepared and confident about taking the exam."
"We continued going over matrices during this session. The student had a test coming up, so we touched on the new information he learned and then starting going through the packet of problems and notes. We made sure he was comfortable with each type of problem."
"We prepared for an upcoming test by going over problems involving circles, ellipses, hyperbolas, and parabolas. The student was very receptive, and by the end of the session, he was able to solve the problems correctly."
