Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered cash flow analysis, journal entries, and building financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement)."
"Specifically, we covered the basics of financial accounting including the nature of double entry bookkeeping. We also got very involved in recording transactions (debits and credits) with "t accounts". The student struggled most with comprehending the difference between an income statement account and a balance sheet account. Though he was able to distinguish between the accounts during the end of the session, his understanding of the underlying framework is not yet solid. That is our goal on Saturday - to comprehend how the balance sheet and income statement relate. He had some extra homework that he needed to finish. I will likely leave him with some extra practice next session to help solidify his understanding of how the balance sheet and income statement relate. I was impressed with his progress in just one session."
"Based on the student's class schedule and contents covered during the six-week study, we made a study plan during the first session. We finished covering chapters 1 and 2, and she completed the corresponding online assignment (100% accuracy) for the first week of her class. Student has additional practice materials, and I let her try to finish them on her own first and will go over them in the next session."
