"Congratulated her on making a perfect 100% on her possessive adjectives quiz, as well as making an A on her family speaking quiz! Today we prepared for her upcoming quiz over prepositions, where she will have to talk about where places are located in a city. I taught her a song with hand motions to help her remember the prepositions. We also did speaking activities using complete sentences, where she had to say where objects were in a room using prepositions. The student did very well with this task!"
"We reviewed work that I had previously assigned the student. He translated a passage, asked questions based on a given phrase, and responded to them. We worked a little on pronunciation. I then gave him another assignment on the reflexive verbs."
"The student and I reviewed the passé compose vs. the imperfect tenses, completed a number of listening, oral, and written exercises differentiating and including the tenses, and read and responded to cultural presentations and inquiries. He seems to have attained a greater degree of proficiency and confidence in his mastery of French."
"We worked on pronunciation differences between "oui" and "ui," which I always find very productive and did some dictation, which was so great as usual. We had very excellent conversation this time, very fluid and with rich vocabulary. She is really improving in her vocabulary and grammar in conversation."
"The student and I continued going over writing today. I also explained to him how to write a good essay using an introduction with a thesis, a body arguing for your thesis, and a conclusion that repeats your main points and concludes the essay."
"Today I gave the student a test on what we have learned. She did really well and took it upon herself to study on her own and create a study manual. We are going to review more next week. Additionally, we also talked about the musical Les Miserables and listened to some of the songs in French. She wants to do more with the musical."
