"We went over Lesson 5 and answered the 30 questions. We looked at solubility as a function of temperature determined the molecular weight of a variety of molecules. We used Avogadro's Number to determine the mass of a single molecule as well as for a mole of atoms. We performed more extensive operations using P, V, and T and looked at the inverse and direct relationships between the variables. We looked a the boiling point and the relationship between bp, vapor pressure, and atmospheric pressure. We revisited the equations to convert temperatures from Kelvin to Celsius and vice versa."
"The student and I covered stoichiometry and two geometry problems. We used the bridge model she learned in class to convert grams to moles for different molecules especially in reactions. She has a good grasp of the bridges that she learned from class."
"We covered topics including crystallization, ionization energy, nuclear shielding, chemical periodicity, nuclear and ionic radii, and electron affinity. The student worked problems from his class' homework. I believe he has a good grasp of this material which will serve him well as we move into ionic and covalent compounds."
