We discussed how to derive these functions, how they relate to one another, and what they look like graphed. The student has a strong grasp of the math. We went over her work together and talked about how to find the information we need using equations provided by her professor supplemented with graphs we drew. I gave her some strategies for solving economic problems, including how to break the problem down and what variables to look for. I reassured her that she can do it, especially given that she has a strong Math background.
