Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During today's session, review for the student's final exam was guided by her practice test. We covered limits and derivatives as well as applications of derivatives in the marginal functions. She did extremely well recalling the methods necessary to solve problems from the first half of the semester. We will meet again tomorrow morning."
"Reviewed for the final exam. Topics included matrix operations, probability, normal distribution, expected value, and maximum and minimum values. Worked various problems in these areas to allow the student to develop the skills and ability to solve these kinds of problems."
"The student and I went over absolute minimum and absolute maximum. We tried several problems on how to find out the absolute extrema on the given interval, and we developed certain steps to solve the problems. He did a great job!"
"Today we went over the student's review for his test tomorrow. It focused mostly on half-lives, population growth, and integration by parts."
"I showed the student how to set up the problem and then solve for it. We also solved the problem step-by-step -- not missing a single step. I had him double check each calculation on his calculator. Bottom line, we successfully solved each problem that we had time to do."
"The student and I worked on budgeting (master operating budget, flexible vs. static budgets, variances and standard costing). We first went over some homework problems; then, we concluded by going over the PowerPoint for Chapter 8."
