Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I completed most of the SAT exam number four. We did reading of passages, interpretation, and discussion. We focused mostly on reading comprehension and the interpretation of town, as well as reading between the lines. Lastly, we completed several single and double blank problems focusing on vocabulary and context."
"Today was our last session. The student has already taken the SAT twice since we have been tutoring and she feels confident about her most recent test. If she does well, she probably will not take another SAT. We did go through a bit more math strategy and specific problems that tend to trick her up. We also spent time talking about the college admission process, scholarships, etc. I've been really excited to see her confidence grow during our sessions. Her time management skills are good and she really well grounded. I was grateful to get the chance to work with her and I really think she's off to a great start for college."
"The student and I began by jumping straight into the math strategy and practicing a whole slew of problems related to plugging in. She picked this up quickly and was able to apply it completely on her own. So we continued through content review as much as we could until the end of the session (covering circles, special right triangles, geometric properties, and more). I will send over a practice exercise for her to work on her own over the weekend so that she can reinforce the use of specific plugging in strategy."
