"The student learned how to determine electron domain and molecular geometries of a molecule. He was also refreshed in drawing Lewis structure, which I saw he was good at. He needs to review his notes from time to time so he doesn't forget things, especially before his exam."
"In this session, we reviewed pertinent content from chapter 8 in order to complete assigned assessments. The material covered consisted of VSPER theory, hybridization, geometry and bond angles. Additionally, intermolecular forces and polarity were thoroughly covered and exemplified. The student needs to review VSPER theory before taking the assessments. All vocabulary terms present on the applicable tests were defined in writing. The student only needs to review my written definitions to ace this component of the test."
"During today's session, the student and I reviewed a recent quiz he took in his class. We went through all of the problems. The problems focused on stoichiometry, limiting reagents, and percent yield. I asked the student to complete a few of the example problems in his textbook. He seemed to understand the concept, and got these problems correct. I explained to him that he has to study Chemistry everyday, and that he has to learn these problems by repetition. I recommended videos for him to watch, and gave him a list of practice problems to complete as well. He displayed a positive attitude, which was great."
"The student and I worked on her physics lab report on lenses. We went through the definition of different lens types, and the type of images they can produce. We then reviewed the calculations her lab required, and graphed these. We concluded by reviewing the answers to the questions in her lab procedure and discussing possible error in the lab procedure. We also reviewed her pre-calculus homework, which covered polynomial functions. The student was able to successfully solve for the zeros of polynomial functions. Her math skills have improved a lot. She just needs to improve her confidence in approaching each problem, which will come with more practice."

"The student and I reviewed all the material for his final trimester exam. We first started with new material, primarily covering cellular respiration. Then we worked our way backwards. We covered cell structures (location and significance), and finally major general biology topics. We were able to finish reviewing all the material."
"We reviewed several topics for the student's upcoming physics exam. In particular, we focused on kinematic graphs and vector addition. I believe that the student benefited from the additional practice."
"Today we had a review of projectile motion, forces and torques and a further review of energy. We will work on AP questions next session."
"We spent the first 30 minutes getting familiar with the class i.e. syllabus, test structure, and homework/quiz schedule. He would like to get a B or higher on his upcoming test and final to maintain his grade for his early application to colleges. He is definitely a bright student. I went over the fluids chapter covering what has been discussed in class (Archimedes principle and pressure) and skimmed over the upcoming topics (flow rate and Bernoulli equation). We went over a few conceptual examples during the lesson, and I walked him through the reasoning process. For the final 15-20 minutes, we went over 3 homework problems. We have tentatively agreed to meet next Sunday, and I hope to dive right into problems."
