Venice Beach was originally a resort town, which means there are many beautiful sites for you to visit. Start your tour of the town by strolling along the Venice Canals Historic District. Developer Abbot Kinney created the area as part of his Venice of America plan. The area was originally designed to mimic Venice, Italy. The walkways that run through the district will lead you along pristine waterways and over ornate bridges. Another great place for a stroll is the Venice Beach Boardwalk. The busy area is a well-known tourist destination. The boardwalk stretches along the beach and performers from all around the area gather to entertain the crowds. There are many shops and stalls along the walk that sell souvenirs and trinkets. The entire stretch offers sights you won't see anywhere else. Abbot Kinney Boulevard is another great shopping location. Named after the canal builder, the road offers unique stores, art galleries, and fine restaurants.

Once you're done shopping and exploring this seaside neighborhood, you can return to your studies with a renewed vigor. Tutors in Venice Beach, CA, are a great way to try to improve.

The student has a test tomorrow so we prepared for that. The main difficulty of this section is remembering all of the equations, formulas and identities. Once she has the right equation/formula/identity, she almost always solves the problem correctly. We worked through her review sheet and took extra time on the ones she was unsure of. This will be a difficult test so we also talked about some test-taking skills that can help in this situation. We will reinforce any areas she misses on the test during our session next week.

Today we did a review session for the student's AP calculus exam. Specifically, we covered Taylor polynomials and patterns within integration by parts. We also looked at different techniques emphasized in this semester, and then covered all the areas of Calculus. I then asked her a few questions to gauge her knowledge. She definitely knows her calculus. We concluded by reviewing some test-taking strategies.

The student is now reviewing graphing piecewise and step functions. I worked with her on how to recognize what is happening in the equation before graphing. We reviewed the translations of function (vertical/horizontal shifts, reflections and stretching/shrinking). She has a strong foundation with graphing. She is not having difficulty with this material. Her last quiz grade on graphing was a 91%, improving her overall math grade to a B average. She can receive an A as final score with continued hard work.

The student worked on her lab homework assignment on pedigrees. I guided her through the problem and allowed her to get to the answers. She created the pedigree on her own based on the problem and we worked from there.

We continued working with normal distribution. The student had no issues with figuring out confidence intervals, minimum sample size, and margin of error. I had her practice with some advanced textbook problems, which included finding significance level and mean/proportion. After the problems, I introduced her to t testing. I showed her the formula for calculating the statistic as well as how to use and interpret the t chart. We ended the session going over basic problems concerning using the t chart and conditions of the t test.
