Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This week the student and I went over the present subjunctive. We learned that we use the subjunctive tense when expressing a desire, influence or opinion. He was able to learn several phrases used with the subjunctive. His homework is to learn the endings of subjunctive along with remembering the endings to other tenses we've gone over."
"The student is learning possessive adjectives in class, so we went over how to make them agree in number and gender. He has trouble with general vocab, so I had him make note cards of the words he doesn't know. I'll check his progress when we meet tomorrow."
"The student spent the majority of our time working on finishing his Spanish homework on indirect object pronouns. We also reviewed his annotations from English class and began review for his math test this Friday on graphing equations with asymptotes and polynomial long division. We discussed his plan to visit the college counselor at school to decide on an appropriate SAT/ACT testing date."
"We worked on practicing the past tense conjugations and pronunciation. We also went over new vocabulary and created strategies for memorization of the vocab list."
"The student has some new vocabulary that she needed to study in order to do her homework, so we made flashcards for vocabulary on technology. She also answered a majority of the questions on her homework assignment correctly. She should make sure to study the flashcards semi-regularly. This is especially crucial when final exams come around!"
"The student reviewed his study guide for his midterm test. In addition, we practiced stem-changing and spell changing verbs."
