"The student had a big history assignment we had to work on tonight over the Boston tea party. Her teacher wanted the class to figure out how to make an outline. I used this as a teaching tool and I taught her the proper way to create an outline for a history assignment. She understood the concept and executed it very well!"
"The student had a science assignment from the previous day that we worked on. It was her chapter review from the chapter on evolution. She had very little trouble finishing the work."
"The student completed his Math homework. He did well writing statements. He had some hesitation combining like terms, but after review and practice he seemed to have a better grasp. He also completed his Social Studies assignment. He completed his outline and read through the sections in his textbook. We reviewed the assignments as they were completed."
"The student worked on a few homework assignments and then we studied for a math quiz he had coming up on factoring and exponential equations. If he slows down and writes out the problems he does fine."
"I have been helping the student with his technological setup as it relates to his business objectives, which are the most practical and immediate usage he hopes to get out of his enhanced understanding of technology. Today, I helped the student retrieve an important business document which he could not find in his email archives and save it as a new document to his computer. Once it was found and the correct version was isolated, I then helped the student prepare an order for a promotional poster via email and logo/text attachments. In order for the student to have a more professional-looking email to include in his new poster, I helped the student create a dedicated email account for his business purposes, eventually syncing the new email account to his phone."
"Today the student practiced the period and comma keys as well as all the keys he's learned to date. He will continue to review the keys and master them before he moves on to the shift key. After he has mastered the location of the keys, we will work on speed. His accuracy so far has been excellent! He mentioned that it was difficult to distinguish between the comma and period, so I showed him how to zoom in on his screen. After he did that, his accuracy improved because it was easier for him to see the screen."
