Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we continued work on polynomials. We went over radicals and exponents and range and domain on graphs. I gave the student some resources to look at for written conceptual explanations."
"We worked on logarithms. She was having some difficulty at the beginning of the session but was doing a lot better by the end. She was having problems with the mechanics of manipulating logarithms."
"Very good first session. We covered some of the basics of mean and standard deviation and z-score meaning."
"We spent the majority of the session reviewing for her exam. We also edited a paper and practiced other basic pre-algebra skills. I left her with 25 math problems as homework related to combining like terms. The student continues to require some support when working with negative numbers; however, she has memorized basic exponential procedures."
"The student and I went over the exam she had last week, which she did really well on! Her mistakes were all very easily missed ones (such as forgetting a negative or not adding correctly) so we made sure to go over strategies that would hopefully eliminate these kinds of mistakes from happening too often. We also went over and did corrections for her previous quiz, along with doing her homework that is due tomorrow. She is currently working on graphing equations that she factors out. She is so far doing really well."
"I worked with the student on reviewing for her math exam tomorrow on division. We went through review problems in her textbook. She had a very clear understanding of this material, so I look forward to seeing her succeed on this exam."
