"
My tutoring style is facilitative in nature. As a mediator by trade I believe in helping individuals find their own answers, whether in a personal or academic matter. I believe students will master their skills if they are lead to the answers rather than have the answers fed to them. I think that tutoring is a two way street and hope my students can give me feedback in what is working and what is not working."

I completed three internships during which I was responsible for curriculum and lesson plans for 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grades. My passion is helping students recognize their highest potentials. I am mostly able to do this through English Language Arts instruction, but I also pride myself on teaching my students other strategies for success such as organizational skills, social skills, and self-confidence." ...

"There is nothing more frustrating than struggling to understand new concepts and new materials that everyone in your class already understands. As a former Spanish major in a classroom full of native Spanish-speakers, I absolutely can relate to this feeling.
As a tutor I make my sessions something the student looks forward to and doesn't dread. I am charismatic and approachable, and I make sure that the student feels comfortable asking questions or for further clarification, and that he or she feels comfortable making mistakes."

"I find learning opportunities everywhere I go and relish the chance to have an intelligent conversation with whomever crosses my path. My teaching style is undoubtedly influenced by my fascination with the everyday. Learning doesn't have to be boring or methodical, even if one is simply studying from a textbook. I find that simply having someone beside you to share ideas, struggles, and frustrations with greatly increases the enjoyment of the learning process, especially when that person is there specifically to help you become a better student.
