Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"At the start of the session, the student and I went over recently completed worksheets and exams. His grades continue to improve! We then went over a worksheet in preparation for the next exam. This exam covered probabilities, conditional probabilities, and permutations. The student was confident with the material by the end of the session."
"In today's session we covered hypothesis testing. Within that subject we also utilized the z table as well as the t-distribution table. We also worked on calculating the p-value in multiple problems. The problems varied between proportion and mean."
"The student and I completed various homework assignments together during this session. Since it is the beginning of the semester for his statistics course, the topics we covered were: relative frequency, reading graphs, mean, median, mode calculations, and the patterns between skewed and symmetric graphs. He was overall very fluent with the material and understood the concepts. He completed the homework confidently, and when he did make few mistakes it was from calculation errors. While completing the homework, we would discuss the answers. If he got a question wrong, we would review the concept. This was a great strategy because by the end of the session he was much more familiar with the material."
"Today I briefly introduced some trig to the student. We then went back to chemistry and worked out some problems. The student seems to be handling his work load well."
"We talked about solving two systems of equation/inequality. We are focused on narrowing his problems with calculations."
"We reviewed the problems the student got wrong on her latest test, and practiced drawing 3-dimensional shapes."
