"We worked on addition and subtraction for a good amount of time. She understands the concept but relies on counting with her fingers to add and subtract. I taught her some different methods, such as counting up or down. I also worked with her on identifying numbers above 100. She also did a reading and writing comprehension exercise."
"I worked with the student on finishing multiple assignments in her online workbook. The subjects in these assignments included adding and multiplying rational expressions. I asked her to complete her DBA with her professor by the next time we meet, so we can finally finish up segment one."
"I first went over a Unit Test that the student had taken to see the topics which she was weak in. I worked on equivalent fractions, multiplying two digit numbers, and subtraction of numbers."
"I used tablet games to work on counting and alphabet sounds. The student was willing to work with me. He was able to count to 14, has trouble with 15, 16, 17, and knows 18, 19, 20. He can match letters of the alphabet to words beginning with that letter/sound. I plan to work more on the counting next week, and do more with phonics."
"I helped the student with a review of his math assignments online tonight. He had a lot of math on there, and we got him all caught up. He understands all of the math. I talked to him about his upcoming science project and his upcoming math project. I will help him with both of those next week."
"The student and I worked on a review of two of her redo assignments today. She still had a hard time lining up decimals and deciphering what to do in a word problem. We worked very hard today and it was all coming back to her. She is working hard and I do my best to keep her positive and encouraged!"
