"I am so proud of the student! She and her partner finished the project with enough time to re-read it and make sure it was 100% of their best work. I am confident she will do well on this project! For our time this afternoon, I had her read to me the homework that was due this week. This way we both know if she has something she needs to work on with me or not. She has a test on Thursday in Math and was confident when we were reading through her homework that she would pass it with flying colors. We did a review on what she needed to know. She had some aspects she understood really well, like taking a fraction to a percent. However when it came to using equations, she struggled because she could do them in her head however could not write them out. We made a study guide and went over the practice problems so she would know how to do them on the test. She will have to practice at home those problems."
"Today we focused on the student's Science work that he is having a test on, on Friday. He had a review packet that he worked through and completed, and he now can use it as a study guide. He did well labeling the parts of a microscope."
"The student had a math worksheet dealing with basic Algebraic processes that he completed and then we discussed together. The student also completed an English assignment he had. We then discussed English and went over any problems he felt he was having. He has a good understanding of both English and Math."
"We worked on English vocab hw and did a little Latin. The student also played me a song he's learning on the piano."
"We went over prefixes and suffixes by creating flashcards. Then we moved on to the student's geography packet and finished the rest of the questions. I quizzed him and reviewed chapter two of his geography book since he has an exam coming up later this week. We also discussed his reading log."
"Today was a shorter lesson. We reviewed the student's science homework -which was to write a paragraph summarizing the chapter about Earth's systems and cycles- and discussed her vocabulary homework."
