Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We finished the student's geometry homework (textbook work), and then worked for a straight hour on his world history study guide. It looks like this will be the first final that he takes, followed by English, followed by Math. I just read him the definitions on the study guide and he gave me the term or person's name."
"Assisted with outlining of second essay on the value of aestheticism in photography: why beautiful photographs can encourage social action. Also proofread and edited essay for grammar. Session was conducted over phone and via email."
"The student and I reviewed for his Unit 1 Test. We first reviewed material that was on his first quiz (exponents, exponential functions, and logarithms) and then reviewed new material since the last session (change of base, expanding, condensing, and solving equations). The student completed all of his review worksheet with very minimal errors. We finished by going over problems that posed the most difficulty."
"The student and I worked mostly on percents, fractions, and decimals today (a huge topic on the math section). We also got a start on triangles, and I assigned a bunch more homework. We will be seeing each other tomorrow. I've been impressed by how much work he is willing to do on his own."
"The student and I continued our review of the SAT Critical Reading passages, diagramming passages to allow for the most efficient possible approach. We focused as well on the Writing section, particularly Sentence Correction, and continued building our vocabulary list."
