Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began this session going over the student's last quiz, where a couple of geometry gaps were basically her only struggle. We then continued preparing for her final. We worked from the final review packet on problems she wanted to make sure she was prepared for. We went over solving high-degree inequalities, using log and exponent properties, graphing logarithmic functions, creating accurate translations from parent functions, and graphing trigonometric functions."
"Today, we worked on the difference between the discriminant being less than zero and the equation being equal to zero. The student worked hard and was focused on learning as much as she could. The student has a better understanding of imaginary numbers"
"We finished up her packets that are due at the end of the week covering trig manipulations and identities. She was pretty confident to do some problems independently, so I think with a little more practice she should be fine for her quiz on Chapter 12 this Friday."
"We reviewed equations for circles and parabolas, the quadratic equation, and graphing circles and parabolas."
"The student had missed a lesson on trig identities last week that she wanted to learn and complete some problems from. It was a little uncomfortable for her at first (as trig identities tend to be), but she persevered, and by the end of our session she had a much better understanding of the material"
"The student and I worked on his review packet provided by his teacher for his final exam. In this session, we covered simulations and regression lines. He needed a refresher of these topics and we will most likely go over these topics again in our session on Saturday."
