Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"There were no real concerns with this session. The student is making good progress with Trigonometry and has a really good grasp on how they work and how to use radians/degrees and find different values using the unit circle. We looked ahead a bit with graphing all the trig functions and practicing how to graph transformed graphs. This unit should be a great chance for the student to pick her grade up a bit."
"We covered review exercises assigned from the textbook. The student seemed satisfied with his effort. For homework, he needs to learn to convert an exponential equation to a log equation."
"Today we covered the law of cosines. We did the practice problems on it and I showed the student the proof. He understood the concepts well. He was not struggling with anything on this topic. Overall this session went well."
"Helped the student apply the formulas to arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Discussed the significance of all variables and the steps to approaching each problem. Covered recursive and explicit formulas as well."
"The student and I finished studying for his math final next week. We worked through his study guide and focused on his priority of concerns (what was most difficult, then on and on). He did a great job! I'm confident that he will do well on his final. Great last session!"
"We reviewed trigonometric functions, basic probability theory, and matrices. The student seems very comfortable with most of the concepts we reviewed. He needed a bit of help with matrix multiplication, but picked up the concept quickly once I explained it to him. The only other topic I suggested he review was solving trigonometric functions where the argument is not simply x."
