"The student and I worked on some sentence completion problems and discussed the logical structure of sentences and how to use that to answer sentence completion problems. We identified that the logic is not a problem for him, so we will focus on vocab in order to improve his already high verbal score. His book has a bunch of vocab lessons, so I encouraged him to work on one of these lessons either every day or every other day. He also keeps track of all the words he doesn't know to look up later. We also looked at some special types of math questions, namely numerical reasoning and new operators. I assigned him a few math sections of his review book to reinforce what we did with numerical reasoning and new operators."
"We worked through several more math concepts on the list of math concepts to know. We'll finish next week and then move onto some practice tests. Notecards of the equations will be necessary as there is a bit of memorization that comes to the test."
"The student and I continued to prepare him for his SAT Math portion of the SAT in March. He is still doing well but with the test being pushed back it gives him a chance to push from a possible 750 to 800. Next session we are going to go over more practice problems and fix any concerns."
