Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over how to use geometric symbols to describe situations. The student solved practice problems finding common denominators, converting fractions, and cross multiplying with variables. He also practiced applying rules for multiplying binomials. I left him with a couple of problems for practice until our next session."
"We reviewed some math strategies in terms of solving polygon, a couple of series questions and graph transformations."
"Last session, we went over reasoning and proof (chapter 2), inductive reasoning, analyzing conditional statement and applying deductive reasoning."
"We continued with proofs and moved into chapter 3, which dealt with transversals and angles. The student did well with the material. We are doing more difficult problems than he typically sees in class, which should prepare and allow him to achieve a high grade in the class."
"We covered geometry concepts that included several types of angles and their relationships with each other (congruent, vertical, supplementary, and complementary). We also went over a PSAT practice test in preparation for the real thing this coming week."
"We covered linear equations - point-slope form and slope-intercept form. We went over practice problems on: - how to solve for y, - how to write equations in each form, - how to write equations of parallel / perpendicular lines, - how to find slope using two points, and - how to graph linear equations. The student and I reviewed her homework and worked on practice problems."
