Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on estimating population means given a single sample, and constructing a confidence interval. This included t-scores and margins of error and related concepts."
"We talked about the Portes and Zady article that she has to read and write a reflection paper on. We talked about the issues with the methodology and brainstormed points to include in her paper."
"I reviewed an extensive statistics package with the student. I covered how to calculate probabilities related to the normal distribution and how to explain the results."
"The student completed his Math and English homework. I checked his work and pointed out correct answers. Then he read his book for 20 minutes."
"This session was my first session with the student, and it went very well. We covered the concepts of radicals (simplifying and dividing) that she has learned in class, and at the end, we started additions. We reviewed her spring break packet and extra credit that are due after spring break. When I arrived, the student already had packets of extra practices printed out (she's very motivated!) so we picked out some problems to work on for the rest of the session. At the end of the session, she confirmed that she has a much better understanding of radicals."
"The student took the test on Thursday, and the student said that it was straight forward and thinks she did well on it. She felt more confident with the test than before. Today we reviewed old material to keep it fresh in her mind. We worked through about 30-40 problems on integration and derivatives for more practice. The student is doing quite well with derivatives and integration. Overall the session was good."
