Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had a worksheet talking about hydrostatic equilibrium and how to derive its equations. He was able to work through it quite well, and he seemed to be understanding what we were doing the whole way. It sounds like, once he sees what it being asked for, he can work with it quite well."
"The student and I had a 90 minute session on Sunday where we covered thermodynamics and "particle" energy. The latter of which involved the energy equation and how it relates to frequency and wavelength and how to calculate one factor given another. I would let him work the problem on his own for the most part, giving him only the necessary equations. We then spent the next part of the session going over a quiz that was mostly on thermodynamics - Hess's Law, calorimetry, and specific heat. I think that he did well, considering that we were purposefully operating on a quick pace rate to prepare for future quizzes and tests."
"The student has a heavy load of testing this week. We worked very hard on reviewing for her science test. The material is heavy but we played a game using each flashcard three times. She then took a practice test. I recommended that she go through them a couple more times before the test on Wednesday. We were able to spend a few minutes on reviewing states and capitals."
