"The student completed his homework sheet of factoring quadratics. Then he worked ahead on graphing quadratics, the standard form of quadratics, finding the vertex, finding the y-intercept, and the quadratic formula."
"Practiced simple math facts, added 3 two-digit numbers, practiced writing this week's Bible verse, completed a worksheet working with words that were similar and following the directions that were on the page. Great class!"
"We reviewed the division problems I had assigned the student last week and then started working on sentence completion. Verbal reasoning is proving to be a challenge because of the level of vocabulary used. We used the rest of our time to put math practice to use with some full math problems."
"We reviewed selected problems from the student's algebra review packet. The student needed a quick review on long division of rational and solving systems of equations. He seemed to have a good understanding on the reset of the material. He also reviewed some additional problems involving inequalities and factoring. Overall, he seemed to be in excellent shape for his final."
"We went over passages in the book concerning electrochemistry and microbiology as she stated that these were her weak spots. Overall, she did fairly well in most of the questions we covered, but did have some trouble particularly with electrochemistry and understanding the theoretical basis for how a galvanic cell works (anode vs. cathode properties). Other than that, I did not feel that she had any significant content deficiencies and I wish her the best of luck on her exam!"
