Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today's session was a review for tomorrow's upcoming test. The focus was vectors, corresponding magnitudes, and directional angles."
"We reviewed for his final. We covered rational expressions, the quadratic formula, zeros of polynomials, nested functions, and the difference quotient. The student understood almost everything."
"I covered with the student simplifying and solving trigonometric expressions and equations. I also reviewed with her two sets of previous homework assignments based on trigonometric functions and equations."
"We completed a review packet of problems involving logarithmic and exponential expressions in preparation for a test. Topics included simplifying expressions, solving for variables, and manipulation of exponential growth equations. The student had a good command of most of the concepts."
"Today, we reviewed the basic principles of vectors. We covered how to find the magnitude of a vector from the component form of a vector and how to find the component form of a vector from a given direction and magnitude. We also discussed how to add and subtract multiple vectors from each other and how to multiply a vector by a scalar. The student's class just introduced vectors last Friday, so she found our review very helpful and now she is ahead of her class. Overall, it was a productive session."
"In today's session, the student and I reviewed concepts related to complex numbers. Specifically, we dealt with multiplication, division, and powers of complex numbers, along with the concepts of magnitude, angle, and standard and polar forms. We also had a discussion about the complex plane. He solved practice problems on the quiz review and, overall, I think he is prepared and astute when completing these questions."
