Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We talked about orbital movement - circular orbits and a barycenter - and also about distribution of energy between Kinetic and Gravitational potential energy in an elliptical orbit. I also touched briefly on the other conic sections, and included some enrichment material on how distances were established in astronomy. The student is progressing well, and has a positive attitude toward the subject matter."
"The student and I discussed the relative lowering in vapor pressure and its relation to molecular mass of the solute. We also discussed about the Gibbs free energy and how it relates to the spontaneity of the reaction. We discussed about 2nd law and entropy."
"Today the student and I worked mostly on chemistry. Her new unit is on buffer systems. We reviewed what she had done and practiced finding explanations via online resources. Besides clarifying the material and working on practice problems, I had the student start a study sheet. On it, she recorded important and difficult concepts in a way that made sense to her. We also spent some time looking at upcoming physics material (rotational motion). Next, we will work on creating a detailed study schedule."
