Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed a lab write up determining the molar volume of hydrogen gas. We also covered material that may be on a quiz, which involved using the gas laws to find changing temperature, volume, or pressure."
"I helped the student with the concepts of intermolecular forces, including the topics of ion-dipole, dipole-dipole, hydrogen bonding, and London dispersion forces. We covered the reading from his textbook and I answered his questions from the reading. I helped him with the questions from his lab worksheet and we also covered some practice questions from the book. At the end of the session, the student told me I helped him understand the concepts a lot better. Great session overall!"
"During this session, the student and I continued to prep for the exam that would allow her to take a higher level chemistry class. She consistently got all of the problems about these laws correct. We talked about this and about study techniques she could use. For the rest of the class, we talked about a handful of the other topics on the study guide that we made during the last session, including the difference between molecular and empirical formulas and trends in the Periodic Table. She seems to feel comfortable with these topics so far, but I strongly encouraged her to keep studying on her own to ensure that she really has a strong understanding. We spent some time looking into other resources online."
